I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

We’re back from an amazing trip to Mexico and I’m really dying with anticipation to share our collection of images with you. Before we have any time to slow down, Mad Men in Vegas is coming right around the corner. We’ve got some fun details (and a giveaway) to share with you later this week, so hold tight!

I thought we’d start this week off with a little food (in light of the fact that we were entirely overfed at our all inclusive resort). My very good friend (and the genius behind my logos for Grey Likes and my styling identity) Lindsay Thompson of M. Stetson Design is celebrating her entry into the self-employed world today. And of course a celebration is nothing without food, so I thought I’d share one of her recent blog findings I know you’ll enjoy. Here’s her round up of edibles that would work great as favors or gifts for guests, bridal parties, out-of-towners, and the like. Lots more goodies coming at you this week, so stay tuned!

We think you will too.

Photographer Karen Mordechai is my hero! She’s the styling and photo genius and she’s behind so much of the goodness that goes on over at Sunday Suppers. One of my favorite recent posts featured a croquembouche dessert table. I love the idea of a croquembouche, mostly because it’s a fresh take on the dessert table. We’ve seen candy. We’ve seen pies. We’ve seen cupcakes. But…croquembouche??? This one in particular is a Lavender Cream Croquembouche created by Ali Kantor of Papery and Cakery!

Are you having a dessert table? Is there anything you’re doing that’s unique or outside-the-box?

*Note all the lovely lavender used throughout the food AND decor.

When it comes to dessert tables, it’s all about thoughtful design!! Sandra Downie of Sandra Downie Event Designs sent over images (by Melani Lust Photography) of a dessert table she recently styled and of course, besides developing a major hankering for brownie bites, I felt an urgency to share this prettiness with you! Get ready to feast your eyes (and blame me not if you’ve got to run out and get hold of baked goods after checking these out!).

Oh…and if this isn’t enough, we have ANOTHER amazing wedding later on today. We’re fully indulging today…May your cup runneth over!

With the help of my “Style Circle”, we’ve put together a little collection of cake toppers with a ride range of styles. If you are thinking about doing a topper, I’m sure one of these may just suit your fancy. It’s hard to choose a favorite, but I’ve always had a soft spot for the 40’s style vintage bride and grooms. Seems like the kind of adornment my grandmother may have had on her wedding cake!

First up, couples:

On the left, quilled flowers as cake topper. Check it out here via So Happi Together. In the center, a “Love Nest” from Pom and Plumage. Last up, a DIY teacup topper via Ruffled.

Last, might we call these, vintage inspired, perhaps?
