There’s a white glow to Carretto Studio‘s airy images of Rosie and Mike’s wedding day. The formula is simple: radiant bride + elegant, lace gown + classic black tux with bowtie + clean, simple details = timeless. We especially love the the way Carretto Studio captured all the joy and romance of the couple’s big day.
What made the wedding special and unique?
We held our wedding on July 4th! Our reception was held at the historic Oakland Building in Saint Louis. We had access to the rooftop which lead to an incredible 360 view of the area’s fireworks.
Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!
I found my gown in at a sweet little boutique bridal shop in Saint Charles, Missouri.
What were some touches added to make it personal?
To make our wedding more personal we made cherry bounce for our guests as our wedding favor. Cherry bounce is an old family tradition that we thought would be fun to incorporate on our big day!
What was the most memorable part of the day?
The most memorable part of our day was escaping the craziness of the reception and getting to the time to spend with eachother, as husband and wife, watching the fireworks on the rooftop.
Tell us how you met and became engaged.
Mike and I met at a tailgate in Tempe, Arizona. Mike had just moved to Arizona for his MBA and I happened to be in town visiting a friend. Mike proposed to me nearly 3 years later in Washington D.C. amongst the cherry blossoms, across from the Jefferson Memorial along the Tidal Basin. It was an incredible day!
