I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

You know we can’t help ourselves when it comes to a fabulous color palette and Brittany and Brady’s St. Louis wedding celebration definitely delivers one. Katie Saeger Events designed all the makings of a classic wedding—a grand church ceremony at Washington University, fabulous custom paper throughout by On Three Designs and beautiful garden rose florals by The Special Event Florist. We’re loving the bridal party in dusty teal Jenny Yoo gowns and the coordinating silk table runners from Fleuropean. The peaches, blues, teal and blush give just enough color to add interest but are subdued enough to keep things timeless and Clary Pfeiffer captured it all in these lovely images.

What made the wedding special and unique?

We loved getting married at Graham Chapel at Washington University, where I am a Physician Assistant. We wanted an intimate setting for our reception, and the visitor center provided the perfect setting for a lovely evening.

Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!

I was referred to Fleur de Lis by my wedding planner Katie Saeger. It was such a special experience, because they close the entire store down for your appointment so it is just you, your friends and family. That made it such a special and memorable experience. I had a certain dress in mind and after I tried on numerous styles of that dress, I was almost in tears as I thought I would never find “the one.” Finally, after I tried on the gorgeous dress by Modern Trousseau we all cried and I knew then it was the one.

What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?

Our step-brother married us. I had two garters; one was something old and blue which was my grandmother’s, and the second one had batman themes as my husband is a big batman fan. My father and uncle made all of the signs that were used at our wedding prior to Alicia designing them. All of our out of town guests received welcome boxes which included a map designed by Brady. The handkerchief was also the same one my grandma carried on her wedding day.

What was the most memorable part of the day?

It is hard to pick out just one moment. Brady wanted to exchange our own vows. I am a total wreck when it comes to public speaking but I finally agreed to do so. I was so happy to finally exchange our own vows after years and years of being together.  I also will never forget how I felt when I walked into the venue where we were having our reception and saw it all come together. It brought tears to my eyes seeing all of my visions come to life!

Tell us how you met and became engaged.

Brady and I met as freshmen in high school. We quickly became friends and started dating our junior year. After a a year apart when we left for college, we reconnected after we both transferred to the same college and have been together ever since! On July 4th, my family came into town and we went to a St. Louis Cardinals game. We went out for drinks after the game and he proposed to me there in front of my family.
