What made the wedding special and unique?

Having all our closest family and friends together in a spectacular venue like La Foce, surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan scenery made the wedding a truly memorable and special day for us. We were very fortunate and thankful that all our guests were flying in from around the world to celebrate with us. It wouldn’t have been the same without the people we love there. We are also obsessed with the venue so having a drone there to capture the aerial shots was the best decision we ever made!

Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!

I must have tried on over 30 dresses but finally found my dress in a bridal boutique in Wimbledon. It is a La Sposa gown and I fell in love with the long scalloped lace train and the sweetheart neckline. The dress has two layers – the underneath layer is fitted in a mermaid silhouette with delicate lace and crystal details. The outer layer is a transparent delicate tulle surrounded by scalloped lace. I am extremely indecisive and specific about what I like and don’t like so I found the whole process quite hard. However, it’s true when they say you just know when you’ve found the right dress because as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one!

What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?

We wanted our families to be involved and feel like they were a part of the wedding ceremony. During the ceremony our mothers were invited to light a unity candle together to symbolize the union of our families. This was a special moment for us especially since our families only met for the first time the day before the wedding!

What was the most memorable part of the day?

For me, walking down the aisle was the most memorable part of the day. I couldn’t wait to see Robin and all the guests, and I had a massive smile on my face the entire time. The weather was perfect, the location, the music and the setup of the ceremony was exactly how I wanted it, so seeing it all for the first time was very exciting.

Tell us how you met and became engaged.

Robin proposed in London at The Shard. It was a total surprise and a private moment together as he organised for us to have the entire bar to ourselves. I thought we were just going for a nice lunch and did think it was slightly odd we were going to a bar at midday but I didn’t suspect anything. I was so shocked and speechless that before I even said yes the ring was already on my finger! I’m glad he chose to propose in London because this is our home, where we met, where we fell in love and where we share so many memories together.
