Mother knows best—at least in the case of today’s couple. Bride Emily’s mother, who was a client of Jonathan’s, introduced the two and the rest is history! Their love story is punctuated by their lovely British wedding day. Emily and Jonathan envisioned a “traditional and ethereal” celebration and leaned on their fabulous vendors to bring their vision to life. Through The Looking Glass Flowers cranked up the fabulous factor with white roses at every turn. We’re especially smitten with the greenery installation in the white tent reception! Lucky for us photographer Helen Warner was on hand to capture all the details and joy of Emily and Jonathan’s lovely day.
How did you and your partner meet?
Hilariously through my mother! She was a client of Jonathan’s business.
Tell us about your wedding gown and how you chose it.
I knew I wanted a Temperley dress as I love her quintessentially British aesthetic. I only actually tried on around 5 dresses and I knew I’d found the perfect one when my grandmother got so emotional!
What sort of style did you envision for your wedding day?
Traditional and ethereal.
Any DIY décor elements?
I wish I could take credit for all of it, but in the professionals, I trust! So, no, they expertly made my vision a beautiful reality.
If you could do it all over again, what would you change?
Nothing! The day was just perfect, all I wish for is to have been able to enjoy it for longer. The day just went by sooo quick!
Any tips that you can give to future brides?
Ensure you’re working with a fantastic caterer, and enjoy each moment!
Anything else you’d like to add?
A wedding is one day, marriage is eternal! You can always wear the dress to vacuum the house!
