I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Lindsay filmed an episode of Say Yes to the Dress and said “yes” to—not one—but two dresses! She ended up only wearing the one she loved best all night long at the gorgeous event she shared with her husband Phil. We especially love the adorable boxed centerpiece florals by Peony and Plum. Of course,  you can blame all the perfectly orchestrated details on Orange Blossom Special Events, who did all the design and coordination! See all the peachy-hued sweetness of Lindsay and Phil’s big day in these beautiful images captured by Josh of Mi Belle Inc.

What made the wedding special and unique?
The best part about the wedding is that we were finally able to have all of our friends and family from around the country together in one place. Both of our families live on the East Coast (Atlanta & Tampa). To me, the most unique part was the ceremony itself. Neither of us are religious and we just wanted something fun and lighthearted. Our good friend, Michael Buckley, got ordanied just for us and delivered the perfect ceremony. It was hilarious, short and personal. He had everyone cracking up, including us. It was better than I could have ever imagined. Also, having our son there was sop special and having him walk down the aisle with Phil was super sweet!

Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!
12 weeks after I had my son, I filmed an episode of Say Yes To The Dress Atlanta! I was not even close to being back in shape, so I really didn’t think I was going to find a dress. I had no idea what I wanted. It had just always been a dream of mine to be on the show! We pulled probably 15 dresses from the racks, and on my way back to the dressing room, my sister in law, Ashlee, saw a beautiful blush colored Eve of Milady ballgown on a mannequin and I added that one to the pile. After trying on two dresses and not loving them, I tried on that one and fell in love with it. So did my family. The only problem was that I thought Phil would want one that was more form fitting. So Monte ran and grabbed a gorgeous 20’s style beaded mermaid style dress by Lazaro. I tried that one on and loved it too! Eventually we decided that the ballgown would be for the ceremony, and the mermaid dress would be for the reception. I was thrilled with that decision and couldn’t wait to debut both dresses. But on the big day, I ended up just wearing the ballgown! I tried the reception dress on for Phil and he said he liked the ballgown better! Which worked out because I forgot my Spanx at the hotel! So I still have the Lazaro dress hanging in my closet. It doesn’t exactly look like a wedding dress, so I’m sure I’ll find something to wear it to in the future. Or I can pass it down to my daughter if I have one!

What was the most memorable part of the day?
Just standing back and seeing all of our friends and family finally meet and have a good time with each other was so special. In a dream world, I’d have a party like this, with these same people all together, every year.
Tell us how you met and became engaged.

Phil and I met in 2007 after seeing each other’s youtube videos. He lived in Tampa and I lived in Atlanta. We had chatted online a bit, and finally met in person at a YouTube gathering in Washington, DC. Youtube wasn’t what it is today. It was definitely not a “normal” thing to put videos of yourself on the internet at the time. So we were both part of this “weird” group of people who had a passion for and believed in something that would ultimately change the world! A few months later, he packed up all of his belongings and moved to a small apartment in Atlanta! Five and a half years later, we got engaged at one of his live shows in Arizona. He added to the surprise by having my dad and step mom fly in for the event, too! A week later I found out I was pregnant! We had been trying for over a year, so this was really just icing on the cake!
