I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Anh and Jeff have a special relationship with France—they became engaged at Versailles—and the decision to invite their dearest family and friends to share in the celebration of their wedding in France was a natural one. The event was planned by Label Emotion Provence  and held at Château de Tourreau which the couple rented out for a full week for family and friends to enjoy the French countryside. Florals are by Canopea Design, Anh wears a stunning Berta gown and the day and it’s stunning backdrop was captured beautifully by Gert Huygaerts.

What made the wedding special and unique?

It was special because I studied abroad in Paris and we got engaged in Versailles so I have a lot of happy memories in France. We knew we wanted to do a destination wedding so it made sense to do it there and add another special memory! Most of our guests had never been to Europe so we wanted to do something special for them too. We rented out the Chateau de Tourreau for about a week so that our closest friends and family could relax and enjoy what the french countryside had to offer. Being able to celebrate our special day in a country that we love and sharing it with the ones we love is what made it special and unique.

Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!

I knew I wanted something unique and intricate but with a simple silhouette and Berta was the perfect designer for that! The gown is from the Fall 2016 Berta Bridal Collection. I found this designer through a bridal dress blog on Instagram. Unfortunately, the only store in New York that carried Berta did not have this style but after having tried on her other designs, I knew the fit would be on point. That was the biggest purchase I had ever made sight unseen but it worked out perfectly!

What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?

Our entire wedding team made the wedding personal for us. We were able have our two dogs walk down the aisle with us so that very special!

What was the most memorable part of the day?

The entire day was memorable! We hired a harpist and violinist who played everything from beautiful classical music to Sublime and Queen! Honestly, everything happened so fast that we may have forgotten a thing or two but just having our friends and family there (including our two dogs) in a beautiful chateau was more than we could ever have asked for.

Tell us how you met and became engaged.

We met on a dating website when I first moved to New York. For our first date, we met for drinks at a bar that turned out to be a disaster in the most adorable and endearing way; he was sweating profusely and I had a bad case of the hiccups! I had a girlfriend call me during the date in case things didn’t go well but despite everything, I liked him. So we got in a cab to meet my friends but was then told that it was a girls night out so he had to find another cab home alone. We became engaged during a trip to France where we drove around the beautiful countryside after enjoying an entire day at Versailles. The day was perfect for the weather so we skipped the line and went biking around the park behind the chateau. After a long ride and finding a quiet place to rest, he proposed and I said yes.
