I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Wow! We are just overflowing with all sorts of gorgeous weddings! Today, if you can handle it, we’re featuring a wedding with sherbet tones that I can NOT resist. Even better, they are paired with a bright cobalt blue that grounds the look. I just love this wine country wedding, which takes place in Mendocino, California. Very special thanks to photographer Tammie Gilchrist for sending over all this gorgeousness!

Be sure to check out Katie’s (the bride’s) extra little tidbit about the planning process!

Insight from the bride, Katie: For years we thought about how our wedding would look and feel but it wasn’t until my Dad showed us his new home in Fort Bragg, that our wedding felt like it would really happen. We had always wanted something unique, small, and intimate, but couldn’t quite settle on what that would be. Looking at the scenery from the coast-front house, we knew we could put together a celebration that not only we would LOVE but that our family and friends would remember warmly forever. With that in mind, and with the help of my Dad, we planned a wonderful weekend wedding, where casual gatherings like a Harbor BBQ, could set the stage for friends and family to be together to celebrate. Every one of our friends and family came from pretty far away, so there was something incredibly special about being all together and for such a warm, wonderful event!

The day of the wedding was the most fun day I have ever had. From the moment we woke up things felt different…somehow all of my jitters and thoughts of planning seemed to go out the window and a serene and truly happy person was able to go out and take in the day. If I had to use one word to describe how I felt at the wedding, I would use grateful. I felt grateful at being fortunate enough to be marrying the most wonderful person, grateful for my AMAZING family for everything they were doing for our wedding, and grateful for the incredibly talented and thoughtful team of people working behind the scenes to make it the most romantic, fun, and joy-filled day for us. At the end of the day, when every last bite of our cake had been eaten, and the dance floor died down, my new husband and I sat alone talking about all of the things we saw throughout the day. We laughed hysterically and talked for hours and neither one of us could come up with one thing about the weekend that wasn’t absolutely perfect.
