The minute you arrive in Bora Bora, you understand that all the photos and everything you heard about the water just does not do it justice. I can’t begin to describe the beauty! Bora Bora is on of the few places in the world where over-water bungalows are viable, so it naturally feels like a dream walking out to your room over water!

While at the resort, we had a chance to try out several of their excursions. We loved that Four Seasons had so much to do–a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure! With several restaurants and pool/beach areas, there’s always more to discover! We had a chance to take a jet ski tour around the island and it is something I’ll never forget. At one point, we stopped in the middle of the ocean, jumped off our jet skis, and were standing waist deep in crystal clear aquamarine water. Did I mention that we were standing…in the middle of the ocean? Totally surreal!

While we were on site, we recruited a couple (that had decided to get married AND honeymoon at the resort–kind of the perfect place to do just that sort of thing) to do a mini photography session, because you needed to see just how dang romantic this place is!

Did I mention the pool, the beach, the private kayak rides to the mini-island, and the service that comes with all of this? We were so well fed, you had to roll us back to the airport! One of the days, while enjoying this view, we were pulled away to enjoy a couple’s massage, which was absolute perfection and one of the only reasons it’s worth leaving this view.

The view from our private bungalows (with a sunken tub that opened out to your private deck) was pretty unbelievable. Sunsets? Magical. In room service? Felt like a 5 start restaurant. Indoor living room, outdoor dining room,

Even the arrival to Four Seasons is next level. A boat picks you up from the airport and escorts you to the resort, where you are greeted with fresh juice smoothies. Golf carts escort you to your room, where your bags have magically arrived alongside treats that seem to magically appear throughout the trip, like fresh juices served in coconuts, fruit trays, chocolate assortments, flower petal turn down! Oh my! The surprises never seem to end!

We also got to go on the adventure of a lifetime. Four Seasons whisked us away on a speed boat with the greatest tour guide of all time (ukelele serenades came as a bonus!) to snorkel with fish and eels, then to swim with sting rays (scary but incredible) and then of course to dive with sharks. Literally–an absolute life changing experience! Oh and then of course lunch on a private island with picnic tables in the water–totally normal, right?

All in all, what we loved most about Four Seasons Bora Bora is the versatility. You can enjoy the resort with friends as much as you can with just your spouse. Want to get married? No problem–you can elope and keep it intimate, or invite a big group of friends (and we know this because we got to experience what Four Seasons actually does for a wedding reception–complete with decor, candles, live music, passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and a four course meal by an award winning chef). Planning a honeymoon or anniversary? If you want adventure–they can deliver. If you want privacy–no problem! Romance? Need you ask? Private dinners, massages, candlelit dinner on your private balcony over the water? Yep, that too. Four Seasons specializes in saying yes and making your requests possible.
