Liz and Nick’s wedding at Wells Reserve at Laudholm

Liz and Nick met while vacationing in Belize and—although they lived in different states at the time—the rest was history! The couple shares a love of travel, so much of their wedding day at Wells Reserve in Coastal Maine was inspired by their trips together including their signature cocktails and Tuscan, family-style dinner. The visual details planned by Emily Elizabeth Events included beautiful pastel florals by Pretty Flowers, adorable stationery by Rosemary Snow Voulgaris, an scene-stealing oysterbar and an incredible backless Sarah Seven dress. Lucky for us, all the pretty—along with some dramatic sea breeze—was captured by talented film photographer Jamie Mercurio Photography.

from the photographer: Liz and Nick’s wedding was a truly beautiful day – it was a stunning and happy affair complete with all kinds of weather! A summer rainstorm cleared up right before the ceremony began, and Liz walked down the aisle to the Beatles “Here Comes the Sun”! After dinner, a giant rainbow arched over the reception tent. It was like something out of a movie!

Liz looked stunning in an open-back dress designed by Sarah Seven that was customized for her! There were many other beautiful personal touches to the day: Liz’s bouquet included a piece of the same plant that was in her grandmother’s, mother’s, and sister’s wedding bouquets, their ceremony was performed by a friend, and their gorgeous invitation suite was also designed by a friend.
