I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

We are completely obsessing over the design of Ashley and Brendan’s Sonoma wedding celebration. Settled into Healdsburg, Chalk Hill is an absolute scenic and architectural gem, but what absolutely adore is the way  So Eventful, dressed it up with a series of stunning lounge areas, an incredible ceremony arbor by Soulflower Design Studio, and tablescapes that are the epitome of  relaxed elegance. Grey Collective member One Love was on the scene to capture all the intimate moments and breathtaking design of a beautiful wedding in wine country.

What made the wedding special and unique?

Our wedding embodied everything that Brendan and I love, the outdoors, amazing food and wine, excellent music and being surrounded by those we love. It was so special that so many people traveled from over 40 states to be a part of our unforgettable day.

Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!

I found my gown at Carine’s Bridal in Georgetown, Washington DC, while shopping with my mom and mother-in-law. The designer was Rivini. The gown was tiers of handmade lace, sweetheart neckline, fit to flare with a long train. It reminded me of classic New Orleans which is one of my husband’s favorite cities. My veil was custom made by ABT Veils to match my dress and it turned out stunning.

What were some touches added to make it personal?

My wedding planner, So Eventful – Ashley, left no stone unturned. We were able to ship a lot of items from home in Florida, that we were able to use at our wedding. For instance our guest book was an antique art book my husband had given me years back. All of my jewelry was borrowed from family. Our officiant, Peadar Dalton, made the wedding so incredibly personal and centered around Brendan and I. You could feel the love emanating at the ceremony.

What was the most memorable part of the day?

Cutting the cake. It was the first time I was able to be “married” and not have to pose for a camera, I was just able to laugh with my husband, see all of the guests that traveled to our wedding and embrace everything that was created for us on our wedding day. It may be cliche but it was an “awestruck moment”, and the cake was delicious too!

Tell us how you met and became engaged.

Brendan and I met working together at Commander’s Palace in Destin. Four years later, he proposed on our back porch on Christmas Day in a tux. It was unexpected and the timing came at a funny time for us, but it was perfect.
