You guys! We are completely smitten with Jenna and Jeff’s Ironstone Vineyards wedding. The color palette of peach, blush, cherry red and merlot is delightful against the lush garden greens of the venue. Flourish Designs wowed with incredible bouquets and arrangements and Erin Milnik captured all the details and the joy of Jenna and Jeff’s big day.
What made the wedding special and unique?
There are two things that really stand out for us: the location and our wonderful family and friends.
Jeff and I chose Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys, California because it is a place meaningful to us. Our families both have cabins in the area and we have so many fond memories. Also Ironstone Vineyards offered all that we wanted in a wedding venue. It’s lush and expansive grounds offered a beautiful landscape that inspired our vision for the wedding. Secondly, it was important that our wedding personified our relationships with family and friends. From finding special ways to incorporate our family to hosting a weekend of events, there was so much love in the air.
What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?
Jeff and I tried to find ways to incorporate our family in a meaningful way. One of my most favorite details was the table assignment suitcase. We filled my grandmother’s vintage suitcase with beautiful flowers and guest table cards, named after our favorite travel destinations. On the inside back of the suitcase we placed old photos of our loved ones. Family instantly recognized the suitcase and thought of my grandmother. It was so special!
Other notable details include my uncle’s vintage green Packard, which was absolutely spectacular. It added a romantic and vintage touch to the wedding. Also, the brilliantly crafted ceremony officiated by Jeff’s uncle and my stepmother’s watercolor paintings on the guest tables created an event truly personal to us.
What was the most memorable part of the day?
There are too many to chose from! One of my favorite memories was the drive down to the ceremony site in the backseat of my uncle’s Packard. It was a surreal moment driving through the tree arbor to see the beautiful ceremony site, all of our guests and Jeff at the altar. I still remember the butterflies in my stomach and the strong embrace of my mother’s hand.
Also, the moments Jeff and I had alone were really special. The first look was the moment when the anxiety of wedding planning and anticipation went away. It was just us, and we both instantly felt at ease. Also, dinner together at the sweetheart table, overlooking the reception was so memorable. We were able to take in the fruits of our planning and all of the family and friends there to support us.
