Rachel and Jeremy met and fell in love while both working in NYC for Martha Stewart. They planned a destination wedding at King Family Vineyards, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains outside of Charlottesville, VA! Rachel’s vision was for a classic and elegant affair, filled with beauty and joy, and their celebration was exactly that! The neutral colors of the bridesmaids, set against the lush florals, and the classic black suits of the men were elegant were the perfect compliment to the Blue Ridge Mountains backdrop. Their ceremony was a mix of both Christian and Jewish traditions, and the joy and excitement was palpable as they exchanged their vows under the handmade chuppah. Their gorgeous florals and table arrangements were designed by their friend from Martha Stewart; the reception being the epitome elegant with white linens, custom gold vases, and candles everywhere. Guests had a wonderful time as dinner was served ‘family style’, with pie for dessert. The band encouraged an incredible dance party, and a shaved ice truck surprised guests for a late evening treat – much welcomed for August in Virginia. There was also a firepit outdoors, complete with s’mores makeing and a surprise performance from Rachel’s college acapella group. This wedding was classic, beautiful and fun, everything that Rachel and Jeremy had envisioned, the perfect celebration their love.
