Nov08 Real Wedding: David and Rachel 2010

In terms of wedding locations, it seems to me that vineyard weddings can’t be beat. For starters, the vineyard is a sort of farm, so already, the pace is slow, relaxed, and insanely scenic. And then of course, there’s the wine which as it happens, does not stop flowing at vineyard weddings. This makes for happy guests and non-stop merriment! David and Rachel’s wedding took place over the summer at Still Waters Vineyard, in the heart of the Central Coast wine country. It seems all this bright beautiful color would be a great way to start the week. (Might I note, I’m particularly loving the orange ranunculus on the cake, paired with the green cake platter? Love that color combo! Get into it!)

These beautiful photos were shot by Mike Larson (who really killed it with those sunset shots, no?).  Mark Padgett Event Design designed the details, while Flowers by Denise provided the gorgeous flowers.

It’s hard to believe that’s in California. Looks like a couple of places I’ve visited in Italy.

Gorgeous venue! The cake is great, too, with it’s simplicity and pop of color!

Oh, her dress – and the light, and the colors – what a beautiful palette! Love this one!

Such a classy and romantic wedding! The color palette and floral arrangements are the cutest and I agree with Eric, it is a little hard to believe this is California! Such a beautiful venue, it feels like it’s set in the Italian country side!

I know, right! California is so sneaky like that…vineyards, rolling hills, glowing sunlight, great wine, Tuscan landscape…except it’s Sonoma. Not Tuscany. CRAZY!

Wow, what an amazing location! And an adorable wedding too.

I LOVE this wedding. I have never been to a wedding at a vineyard but I am dying to! Honestly, this could not have been prettier even if it was a movie set.

Where are the bridesmaids dresses from? I love their simple look and the fact that each girl could chose her own style.

We love weddings at Still Waters. We appreciate the beautiful recap of such a fun evening. The photographer, wedding planner & caterer did such a fantastic job that day. Thanks!

I love all of it! Beautiful scenery at Still Waters Vineyard, the lighting, the colors for dresses, table linens and especially the flowers in the unique containers… So beautiful but not overdone or fussy… L O V E IT!!! This venue totally rocks! Great job Paul and Pat Hoover.

This wedding was a complete joy to design. Rachel and David were a blast to work with and both families were awesome. Their words to me: “You took a basic vision and turned it into something that belongs in a magazine.” “You made our wedding beautiful, incredible and magical.” Wow, that feels good! Thanks Mike Larson for capturing this wedding so beautifully and to Grey Likes Weddings for the honor of posting it and for the storm that circled us but did not visit this site!
    Cheers!
