Aug11 Nautical Wedding With School Spirit 2011

You guys. Get ready for a confession: it may or may not come as a surprise, but I was a cheerleader in high school. Yep. Go Warriors! So of course, this nautical seaside wedding with a little jolt of classic school spirit is really filling me with nostalgia for the good ol’ days. All the pennant flags are so cute, stuck into the centerpieces and even hung as escort cards! Get ready to feast your eyes on some really fun ideas, designed by Charmed Events with florals by Church Street Flowers. Gorg gorg gorg images shot my Joielala Photographie. (Heart them infins!).

Check out all the resources below and come see us later today for another goodie that goes along with this wedding.

I really enjoy the gentle feel of this wedding. It has such a cute theme that makes you feel like a cool walk on the coast line. It takes so much time and planning with all those details and it worked so well for this wedding. Thanks for the amazing eye candy and keep it up!

Yes yes yes to all of it!!! Love the simplicity of everything…but you know how much time and effort went into the planning! LOVE! So beautiful…and beautiful photography always helps to bring the true feeling of the day to life forever and ever.

Love love love! The sports team flags are so fun- thinking of incorporating that into a fall wedding that I’m doing, but with a more elegant feel. :) Should be interesting to see!

alli & doug were such a fun couple for us to shoot — and we loved everything about their day! thanks for the feature summer & thanks to everyone for all the sweet comments! xo

Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone! I am glad the pennant flags are so well received. Doug and I met while working for a professional sports team and our love for sports has been a constant in our lives. Including our favorite teams as our seat assignments was a no-brainer and searching for the vintage pennants was such a fun task :)

I follow Grey Likes Weddings so being featured is such a treat!

I LOVE nautical theme weddings. We just finished one in Las Vegas and incorporated it into a room with exposed wood architecture and arched wood ceiling beams. It felt like we were in an arc. Such a great, classic theme.

Thanks, Liz! The bridesmaid dresses were from Watters, style number 7594 – http://watters.com/Product/WattersWatters/7594/, in indigo. I ordered them from “…and something blue” in San Francisco.

The girls got tons of compliments on them! My MOH helped me decide and she loved it because it was super comfortable.
