I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Sofia and Ibrahim celebrated their nuptials at Villa Tolomei in picturesque Florence. The bride and groom, who met while working in Dubai, chose Italy for their destination for the food—who doesn’t love Italian food, right?! Sofia planned the entire event herself centering the design around a rich floral theme perfect for the Tuscan vineyard setting. To bring the theme to life, she enlisted florist Funkybird Firenze to create the stunning grape-hued florals in the bouquets, ceremony arbor and centerpieces and Les Amis Photo to captured all the lovely details and moments of the day.

From the bride: Ibrahim and I met in Dubai four years ago at work, I immediately fell for his charm. After 2 and a half years he proposed and just over a year later we got married.

By nature, I am a control freak so decided to plan the whole wedding myself. We chose Italy because we were debating about what food to serve our guests and agreed everyone loves Italian food. To us, Florence is the most romantic city in Italy so we decided to look for a venue there – something in the mountains with a beautiful view but still small enough to keep it intimate.

We chose Villa Tolomei because it ticked all the boxes and their events manager supported me a lot through the whole process. Our florist, Sonja from Funkibird was magical and managed to capture the vibe I was looking for. Alma Project set us up with a wonderful band who played all the classics and our first dance song. The wedding day went perfectly and was captured by some very lovely and talented team from Les Amis Photo.
