Kristen and Ken’s spring Scottsdale wedding at Four Seasons Scottsdale was truly out of a fairy tale. This gorgeous couple believes that there are few things that are more beautiful than bright, delicate and feminine pops of color against a dusty desert panorama. Designed by Outstanding Occasions, rich magenta florals by Petal Pusher and geometric candle holders were the perfect accessories to the dainty and chic outdoor ceremony. The brilliantly creative Elyse Hall captured all of the intimate moments that this picture perfect celebration had to offer. We’re obsessed and know you will be too!
What made the wedding special and unique?
With 100% of the guests traveling from out-of-state, the choice of destination was very special and unique to us, as many of our guests haven’t visited Arizona. This was a place that I grew up visiting with my parents as they have a second home here. We were excited to have our dearest friends and family celebrate the weekend with us, so we truly made it a three day affair!
Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!
I found my gown during a shopping trip with my mom in Atlanta. The hand-beading and detailing was exquisite.
What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?
Making the wedding day personal and unique was very important to me. From the welcome bag with our favorite hand-picked items, and a play on the southwest Arizona aesthetic, to the custom made dream catcher escort cards; we truly wanted our guests to feel appreciated, taken care of and feel the southwest vibe throughout. The entire design played off my favorite color of pink, while keeping our location in mind. From fuchsia and gold foiled stationery with a blind embossed aztec print, to our bougainvillea adorned ceremony arch; we added my favorite color in chic ways throughout.
Ken and I are also aren’t huge dancers, so we brought in more of a classic rock band to play our favorite music. Additionally, Ken is from Canada, so we ended the night with a Poutin Bar to play off his hometown.
