Lanikuhonua was a natural choice for Jamie and Trey’s destination wedding for a bride who grew up in the Hawaiian islands. The tropical affair, designed by Grey Collective member Moana Events is one for the books. We can not peel our eyes away from the tablescapes at the tented reception—runners consisting purely of roses! Passion Roots florist continued to create magic at every turn with the pink and deep coral palette included a stunning floral arbor and centerpieces. June Cochran Photography was on had to capture all the rose-colored happiness of Jamie and Trey’s big day—your’e going to love it!
From the Wedding Planner: This stylish and fun wedding took place at Lanikuhonua with a beautiful beachfront backdrop surrounded by Hawaii’s most elegant foliage. Jamie and Trey’s inspiration came from the bright pinks, oranges, and corals of a sunset. Jamie wanted to incorporate her love of flowers into her wedding day and worked with her wedding planners to drape the tables and altar with ferns, peonies, dahlias, and roses. Trey, along with Moana Events continued the wow-factor and surprised his new bride with signage displaying sweet sentiments as she entered the property. The couple also chose Laurenish Designs to create custom hand painted watercolor stationery that matched their invitations to display items such as the dinner menu and cocktail selection for the evening. During the reception, accents of gold complimented the customized place setting of ferns and fuchsia pink place card napkin wraps.
The bride grew up in the Hawaiian islands and wanted to share some of her favorite things with her destination guests, so the reception also featured local elements; a poké bar for dinner, malasadas – a Portuguese doughnut for dessert, and a live Hawaiian band.
