I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Inspired by the natural colors, history, and style of the La Purisma Mission in Lompoc, California, designer Jill Remy, floral designer Camellia Floral Design, and a fab team of vendors put together a GORGEOUS Spanish inspired shoot that we are absolutely head over heels for! Photographer Kristen Beinke Photography captured all these beautiful images and we are so honored to share them, alongside a few “inspiration notes” from Jill! Are you ready?

From Jill Remy, Planning & Design:
This styled shoot was inspired by the beautiful pink wall of the historic mission, and the gorgeous lighting that we happened upon when we first scouted the location. We took our lead from the natural and historic beauty of the place, with a slight nod to the Spanish influence.

We loved the lace of the brides gown, Pronovias “Badil” 2014, from The White Peacock in Santa Barbara, the Venice lace linen in Cappuccino from La Tavola’s new collection, and Casa de Perrin’s white lace charger.

For the table scape, we wanted the natural wood and curves of Elan Event Rentals dark walnut acacia table to show through, and we draped La Tavola’s ivory organdy linen softly over it in the fashion of a runner, and Camille from Camellia Floral Design gathered it with a floral arrangement at the bottom. The gorgeous lush oversize florals on the table were beautiful blushes and creams, accented by peaches and corals and bright greens. The beautiful china and goblets from Casa de Perrin elevated the table scape with their unique items. I loved the new pewter flatware and the adorable salt cellars.

Also, napkin and chair treatments I think make such a big impact in the overall design of an event, and I always encourage clients to consider this decor element.

The cake that Lele Patisserie designed was a spin on the naked cake concept, with a bit more coverage. I loved this as it reminded me of a worn wall that you would find at the historic mission, with the different materials peeking through.

One of my favorite detail shots was of the vintage keys, which are the actual keys to lock up the mission! I love that a detail like that has stood the test of time.
