I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

If you haven’t already heard, we are so proud to have just launched our Spring Collection of The Mrs. Box–our little wedding heirloom ring boxes made from vintage French velvet. We received an early shipment of some of our favorite colors, which are now available for purchase, with the rest to follow in a few short weeks. We thought you’d love a little sneak peek of what we came up with this time, along with our stylist cohorts, Type A Society. Our dear friends, Jose Villa, along with Joel Serrato, were on hand to shoot these gorgeous images and they always make us look so good. And are you obsessed with those rings as much as we are? You can find them at Trumpet and Horn! And a very special thanks to artists Jenny Sanders of Graceline Art for her watercolor of our wreath and to Lisa Rae of The Dancing Pine for her water color of the lovely Pantone strips. We knew you’d love!

We think you will too.

Inspired by the unique personalities of the brides whose stories and weddings we share on a daily basis daily here on Grey, we are delighted to finally launch The Mrs. Box. We are ecstatic that this is finally our time to come out from behind the screen of our blog  to send you a piece of us, in physical form–tiny velvet ring boxes made from vintage French velvet, in a rainbow of limited edition colors!

Our dearest readers, brides, and wedding industry friends have inspired us immensely throughout the years. The Mrs. Box is truly a project that began with the desire give back something lovely to the community that has given so much to us.

Thank you for inviting Lady Grey to be a part of your inspiration, weddings, parties, and even your family as it grows. We hope our wedding heirlooms will be as much a part of your story as you have been a part of ours.

This gorgeous image was styled alongside Type A Society, and shot by Jose Villa with Joel Serrato, styled with incredibly gorgeous vintage rings from Trumpet and Horn.

Last spring, I had the chance to work on a project for El Encanto Hotel in Santa Barbara, alongside a super fabulous talented team: Jen Huang, 1011 Makeup and Anna Le Pley Taylor. One of the elements we worked on styling was a surprise birthday party, which we are so excited to share with you today! More to come from this super fun collaboration!

Our story began three years ago, when we had the idea to reinvent the ring box. Taking inspiration from the petite boxes of the early 1900’s, we set out to bring back an heirloom that had fallen to the wayside. Inspired by the unique personalities and tastes of the brides whose stories and weddings we share on a daily basis, we created our first collection in a rainbow of colors from vintage French velvet, sourced from mills that are no longer in existence! For this reason, each color is a limited edition piece! This project involved months and months of research, and even more months of development! We are so beyond excited that we are finally ready to tell you all about it! We’ll be starting pre-sale orders in just a few weeks, so if you want to nab one, be sure to head over to TheMrsBox.com to sign up for our newsletter where we’ll let you know when you can order your very own. Follow us on twitter or instagram @the_mrs_box to keep up with our journey! And just you wait…many more photos to come!

Images by Jose Villa with Joel Serrato featuring rings from Trumpet and Horn with styling by Type A Society

This past spring, I had the incredibly fun opportunity to collaborate with the newly branded ladies from Type A Society (formerly Fleurish Events). I’m now officially obsessed with these gals, who bent over backwards to help put together a gorgeous shoot–including driving over four hours to come hang with me! What a lucky lady! Photographer Kelly Sauer even hopped on a plane to shoot our little set up! Magnolia Bakery allowed us to customize a trio of mini cakes from their new line, and had them sent over for us to feature! And of course we recruited calligrapher Jenna Rainey to make our stationery suite! Hair stylist Karilyn Turley turned our model’s long locks into a short bob…so much fun right? And her glowing makeup is by the ever so sweet and talented Lauren Peter of Blushing Makeup Artistry. The “Devotion” by Claire Pettibone was a perfect gown for our spring garden look!

I’m so honored to have worked with such a fun and energetic team on this shoot!
