I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

When Bryan and I were planning our wedding, one of the locations that I DESPERATELY wanted to get married at was Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards. Located on a vineyard in Charlottesville, Virgina, Pippin Hill is one of the most gorgeous venues I’ve ever seen! We are so excited to be able to announce that they are offering a Winter Weddings Collection package, that not only allows you the opportunity to host a cozy winter destination wedding in the picturesque venue, but also gives you several added perks and savings to make it even sweeter!

If you book your wedding from December 1 to March 16, your package will include goodies like spiced cider and hot chocolate to welcome guests, s’mores, event insurance, and even day of coordination! Want to see some real weddings at Pippin Hill??? Head here!

To show off Pippin Hill, here are images by Eric Kelley from a shoot we featured last year (one of our all time faves!!!). The first image below is by Elisa B. You can see more of these images here and here. To find out more about hosting your wedding at Pippin Hill, download their entire brochure here.

Complete with dinner and drinks, an emotional ceremony and a dance-party reception, The NotWedding has become a killer alternative to a bridal show. Hand-selected vendors perform their services as they would at a real wedding, and the “wedding guests” (aka YOU!) get to hear the music, taste the cakes, and smell the flowers… while enjoying a night of great food, dancing and surprises, leaving brides-to-be saying “I want my wedding to be just like that!” For brides and grooms, the event serves as a source of inspiration, a resource in finding trusted wedding vendors and an emotional reminder to plan for what comes after the wedding: a marriage! For participating wedding vendors, the event exposes their business to new referral sources, while also exposing each vendor to a wealth of inspiration, resources and confidence to take their business to the next level.

The most recent event took place in Nashville, and all I can say is, I’m sorry I missed this one. Ready for some gorg images, courtesy of Zipporah Photography, Declare Photography and I Love You Too Photography?

Have you seen Doie Lounge robes yet? How lovely are these?

What’s amazing about these gorgeous robes is not how they look (although yes–they are completely gorg). What actually makes these robes a must have and the ultimate bridesmaid gift is the fabric–they are made from supreme quality bamboo silk, which is so incredibly soft it’s impossible to describe!

3

We also love that these gorg robes are something that will be a great reminder of your wedding day and the time you spent getting ready with your girls! To see some other real brides who’ve use Doie Lounge Robes on their big day, check out their real weddings page. How gorgeous do these robes make your “getting ready” photos? We also love that if you are buying for your bridesmaids, you can get bulk discounts!

Doie Lounge robes are beautifully made, stay put (with the permanently attached outer silk tie and an interior tie), eco-friendly, looks gorgeous on all shapes and comes in a broad range of sizes! We’re not the only ones who are obsessed–some of our fave celebs got them listed as an US Magazine must-have!

If you are thinking you’d love to do luxurious robes for your ladies, be sure to email Sara@DoieLounge.com. She LOVES working with brides to come up with fun color combos and can even tell you about prints that may not be listed on the site. Amazing, right?

One of the things that we love about our newest sponsor, Scratch Wedding DJs is the fact that they make it so incredibly easy to find a DJ. In our experience, finding someone you can trust and that you know is amazing is hard to do–especially because you normally won’t actually get to see your DJ in action until the day of the wedding. Scratch actually has a 10 step screening process to make sure that no matter who you choose is going to be amaze!

Scratch DJs are trained professionals and experts at song selection, mixing and blending, reading the crowd, building energy on the dance floor and, ultimately, entertaining guests of all ages and cultures. They also always offers a risk-free and stress-free experience backed by their 72 hour “Change of Plans” refund policy.

For fun, we thought it would be great to include a play list of recommendations for recessional/walking back down the aisle as newlyweds. These are all new songs (of course!) and they are so fun to check out! Imagine you’ve been pronounced husband and wife, and then this song hits the air:

Can’t Hold Us (The chorus)– Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis

Feel This Moment – Pitbull, Christina Aguilera

That Girl – Justin Timberlake

It’s A Beautiful Day – Michael Buble

Let’s Stay Together – Maroon 5

Ho Hey – The Lumineers

I Found You – Alabama Shakes

Gone, Gone, Gone (the bridge) – Phillip Phillips

I Will Wait – Mumford & Sons

Love On Top – Beyonce

Get Lucky – Daft Punk

Anywhere With You – Jason Owen

Have you heard of The NotWedding? It is a bridal show alternative in the form of a big, fake wedding. Brides-and-grooms-to-be attend as wedding guests and they experience an emotional ceremony (which is actually a real couple’s vow renewal), dinner and drinks, and a dance party reception while they get to truly experience the vendors in action.

Today we are giving away tickets to the upcoming New York event that takes place next Wednesday, May 22nd. But to get you excited, you must see what went down at their recent LA event! The NotWedding Los Angeles was held on February 27 at a rad venue called Lot 613 in LA. Photos, video and a list of the participating vendors can be seen here.
