We registered at Macy’s; Crate & Barrel; and we plan to set up a honeymoon fund once we actually pick where we want to go. We chose Macy’s because we thought they had the best choices for bedding & bath and they have a lot of dinnerware patterns to chose from. We chose Crate & Barrel because they have great, cute kitchenware items and fun decor that I think will be “fun” gifts for our guests to buy. Both places seem to have great basics too so now we just have to keep filling up our registry.

@Grey and @Elaina–Thanks for the heads ups/info! We started off with Macy’s and Williams-Sonoma this weekend and, even without an appointment and even thought it was the 1-day sale, everyone was SO nice and helpful. We’re not looking at anything super seasonal, either, and will definitely keep that in mind as we finish up.

@ Annie- We did Macy’s, Williams Sonoma, & Target and it should work out. We’re mainly registering at Target for basics- inflatable mattress, coolers, etc. so those should stick around until July-ish? and our wedding is August 6th. I love, love, love Macy’s and their rewards system, and Williams Sonoma has great stuff. I’ve been very happy!

We registered at Macy’s along with a few other places. The fact that their stuff sticks around, like you said, is great. They also have lots of nice options, but I would check on things they might not have on display. For example, we registered for Oneida flatware which is awesome, but they didn’t have a barcode for matching iced-teaspoons or steak knives. I had a feeling that those things existed because my mom and aunts have them with their Oneida flatware. I looked them up on the Oneida site, found what I wanted and went back to Macy’s. They were able to add the pieces on their computer so that my guests can purchase through Macy’s too. So while what they have on display is great, if you think there’s something missing, don’t be afraid to ask. The ladies (or gentlemen) at the registry counter can help you with that.

Hey Jillian. Everything in the board was all found on the Mac's site. The flatware can be found HERE. Don't hate me though...I wasn't paying too close attention and picked a sterling silver set. Swoon.

Hey Jess. That must be so frustrating. It’s interesting, because I think the constant sales was a positive for Macy’s…the idea is that guests can get items on sale/cheaper at Macy’s more frequently than they can at other places. But at least you are right…use their awesome return policy to take it back and repurchase at a lower price if that happens.
