Phi and Bryan’s engagement session from celebrated New York wedding photographer, Alicia Swedenborg, is so dreamy! The lighting is magical and every image is like an study in pastel ombré. It’s seriously so amazing. Just wait until you get to the shots from Top of The Rock. Gasp! Gorgeous!
The proposal: We are surrounded by our families (especially mine; we live down the street from my mom and sister). Always having family functions and gatherings we are rarely home alone. It was Christmas Eve and I had a very long week at the salon working around the clock for clients. My last client came in late so I had to stay, knowing I needed to come home and get ready for Christmas Mass (we go with my family every Christmas Eve). I stayed late and got home completely wiped out. Bryan had come home from work, very calm and sweet that day. As I was getting ready for Mass he continues to follow me around the house telling me how beautiful I was and how much he loved me. I didn’t think anything of it, as I’m spraying on perfume making it the last thing to be done, I turn around to ask Bryan how I looked? He replies “I think you look beautiful but I think you’re missing something,” and gets on one knee and pulls out this black box. I got so excited I started to cry. We got the chance to be alone in our house we just bought, just being in the moment just the two of us was something so special. So that day went from being a stressful day to the best day of my life. It will definitely be a Christmas Eve to remember.
