I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Oh my goodness! We are soooo excited for today’s engagement shoot feature! Robert and Briana chose a sunflower farm as the backdrop for the engagement session shot by Abby Caldwell Photography. The bride Briana told us a bit more about their engagement session:

Born and raised in Iowa, it was Robert’s Midwestern charm that made him different than anyone I had ever met before. Being with him was natural, and his genuine kindness and warmth made me feel like I had known him my whole life. I knew immediately that he was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I had a vision that our engagement shoot would reflect the nature of our relationship; tender, sincere, and fun. Buttonwood Farm has always been a special place to me since I spent four summers during college scooping home-made ice cream there. Most importantly, every summer the farm plants acres of sunflowers that are later cut down and sold to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I could not think of a more noble cause or a more ideal place for our engagement session.

From the Stylist:  Briana and Robert are such a wonderful, fun, loving couple.  We are fortunate enough to not only style their engagement shoot but design their wedding as well. Buttonwood Farm was a perfect spot to shoot their engagement photos, but being so busy they had to have the shoot at sunrise. What luck when they arrived so early and that lovely fog was there! The Farm helped tie together Briana’s New England grace and Rob’s Iowa upbringing. We just new that Rob’s Midwestern appeal would show through in the pictures, so why not enhance that charm with none other than a plaid shirt from JCrew.  Briana’s beautiful blonde hair and fair skin was a great contrast to the yellow and deep greens of the sunflowers.  Wedge shoes were a must since Briana still wanted some height without sinking into the soft ground. We also added in a touch of yellow on her belt to accent the yellow of the flowers. The result: perfection!
