I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Jessica and Jay wed in the morning, overlooking a rugged Texas canyon. Their ceremony was simple, serenaded by an acoustic guitar while birds flew overhead. Following the ceremony—and a very scenic portrait session—the couple and their family retired to their airplane hanger where a stunning reception was underway! Jessica and Jay had renovated a metal hangar into a beautiful home which designer and florist Parie Designs transformed into a lush, modern garden party! We love the topiary backdrop, dripping greens and romantic touches like stationery by Etcetera Amarillo  and three-tiered marble cake by Scratch Made Bakery. Lucky for us, JoAnna Robertson Photography was on hand to capture it all in these lovely images.

What made the wedding special and unique?

I feel like the ease of the day and the loved shared between everyone made it so special.

Tell us about the gown and where you found it!

A and Be Bridal Shop in Dallas!

What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?

I loved our floral wall with our names, and having it as a backdrop for our guests to have their photos taken was really fun. I also loved having all the kids at the ceremony – such a special time.

What was the most memorable part of the day?

The most memorable part of the day was between the ceremony and the party – all of our friends and family gathered in our home for food and fun, spending time together – the calm before the (very fun) storm! Also, exchanging vows with my best friend in such a breathtaking place – priceless!!!!

Tell us how you met and became engaged.

I don’t feel like the way we met was too glamorous – just work! We traveled to Maui, Hawaii for Christmas 2017 and he proposed on Christmas Eve there!
