I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Denver Botanic Gardens set the perfect backdrop for Jessa and Cody’s vibrant floral-themed wedding planned by We Tie The Knots. Sweet details like plants and flowers as table numbers and and seed packet favors were on theme while the peony-filled florals by The Perfect Petal were scene stealing. Check out all the details in these striking images by Kerinsa Marie Photography .

What made the wedding special and unique?

We loved that it was it at the Botanic Gardens. It is one of our favorite places in Denver and we even went on a couple of our first dates there. It made for the most beautiful setting and we liked utilizing three different areas of the gardens for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.

Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!

I tried on a lot of different dresses before realizing that I wanted to keep it simple and flattering. I finally found the perfect dress at A & Be Bridal in Denver. It didn’t have a single bead, sparkle or piece of lace but I loved the fit and silhouette.

What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?

Out of town guests staying at the hotels received welcome boxes full of Colorado items and brands. We love live music and bluegrass so we had a bluegrass band, RapidGrass, play during the ceremony, cocktail hour and part of the reception. We included some photos of our dog, Angus, in the instructions at the Polaroid photo guestbook station. We took dance lessons for our first dance and surprised guests with some unexpected moves. The table “numbers” were different plants and flowers and the guests’ favors were seed packets of various plants and flowers to go with the garden theme.

What was the most memorable part of the day?

Our First Look that we did with the photographers prior to the ceremony. It was the first time we saw each other on our wedding day and one of few times that we were able to spend alone with the just two of us. We were so happy and excited to see each other and for everything that was about to come.

Tell us how you met and became engaged.

We met through mutual friends. We were engaged in Santa Fe, NM on New Year’s Day 2015. Cody asked Jessa to look through a telescope and when she turned back around he was on one knee!
