I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Jackie and Danny’s wedding day in Orange county is filled with glam details. Sequins, metallics, barely-pink roses, vintage transportation—you name it, this wedding’t got it. A traditional church wedding is followed by a blush-lit, floral-filled ballroom reception at VENUE. We’re especially loving the blooming trees flanking the sweetheart table and the stunning floral chandelier dripping in greenery. Photographer Mike Zaragoza has captured all the details of the day and the adorable couple in these beautiful film images.

What made the wedding special and unique?

Our family and friends made everything extra special! Our nieces and nephews went to Yogurtland (our favorite) and got us each our favorite flavored yogurt with our favorite toppings! It was such a surprise when we saw them all walk up to us in the middle of the reception with our special treats!! We loved it!

Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!

I found it at a small boutique in Tustin, CA. I was with my sister and mom which made it extra special. My dress was from Australia!! The moment I slipped it on I knew it was mine!

What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?

Our wedding favors represented our different cultures. We gave away traditional hand-carved and painted husband and wife dolls we purchased while on our trip to Korea to visit Danny’s family. We also gave away hand-stitched velvet bags with colorful flowers that I purchased in Mexico; inside they had traditional wedding cookies.

What was the most memorable part of the day?

So many, it’s tough to narrow it down to one! Walking down the aisle, seeing each other for the first time, saying I Do, our first dance!

Tell us how you met and became engaged.

I was coming back home from a business trip and Danny & my mom were going to pick me up at the airport. When I was exiting through the tunnel, I could see my mom and Danny waiting for me holding a large banner that had my name on it, and Danny was holding roses. I thought they were being funny by bringing a banner, and the roses didn’t throw me off since Danny always picks me up from the airport with roses (so spoiled, I know!). As I got closer, I hugged them and then turned to head towards the baggage claim and that’s when I saw my entire family! Brothers, sister, nieces and nephews; even my brother on FaceTime from San Antonio!! When I turned back to look at my mom and Danny, Danny was on one knee and asked me to marry him! I said yes, we hugged, we kissed, and everyone in the airport cheered!!
