I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

As always, we are so excited when we get the chance to feature a wedding designed by our darling friends of Bash, Please. Chris and Christa’s wedding at San Ysidro Ranch was small, intimate, and totally personal! We adore their gold confetti send off, the colorful welcome bags, and the use of locally grown ingredients like the lemons in their cake and the olive branches in the bouquet! Very special thanks to Annie McElwain for sharing her gorgeous images with us!

From the bride, Christa:

Our wedding planning began just 5 months before the big day.  Chris proposed to me at San Ysidro while on a weekend trip cross country.  If I had initially gotten my way we would have gone to the court house and eloped, but Chris knew better.  Since Chris believed we should have a wedding I insisted that it be small, casual, fun, and stress free.  This is how the plan to go back to San Ysidro for the big day came about.  Being that we live in GA I knew that we could keep our wedding small by traveling out west for the big day.  I happily handed over all the details without hesitation to our planner, Melissa Pearson of Bash, Please.  They helped coordinate all our wonderful vendors and made my trouble-free dream wedding come true.

The color scheme was neutrals with a pop of gold.  I love gold accents!  We had gold votives, gold vases, and a gold confetti send off!  We played off of the wonderful themes that San Ysidro Ranch had to offer.  Our cake was a lemon cake with lemon curd and buttercream frosting, San Ysidro was once a citrus packing house and the lemons came straight from the grounds at the ranch.  Lavender is found growing in the gardens at the ranch so BashPlease placed a sprig of lavender on each guest’s dinner menu.  A lot of decor was not necessary at the ceremony site, San Ysidro’s gardens were the decor.
