We met the first day of college. Matt was checking people into the dorm as he was a sophomore, and he checked me in and got me a moving cart. I was immediately drawn to him and when I saw him chatting to my next door floor mate, I quickly sat down and joined their conversation. Two weeks later, we started dating. Almost nine years later we’ve built a life and a business together!

We decided to get engaged after hearing the news of my grandmothers terminal illness. We decided it was time to commemorate our commitment to one another and started ring shopping. The night before we flew home to see my grandmother for the last time Matt proposed on a picnic at our favorite New England Estate’s garden. We were able to go home and share the good news with my family (and grandmother) before her illness took a turn for the worse. It was small moment of joy amongst the difficult period for my family.
