I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Happy Valentine’s day! This gorgeous shoot is our gift to you! The dream team of creators led by Glow Event Design aimed to create a soft, romantic “Old World” look for this Valentine’s-inspired wedding shoot. To do so, they selected a color palette featuring layered tones of light pinks and lilacs, with delicate pops of soft black to add dimension. The details including stationery by The Idea Emporium, florals by Tango and Foxtrot Florals and rentals from Bright Event Rentals  offer stunning inspiration for a wedding with subtle Victorian influences. Read down for design information and check out all the incredible images by the always-fabulous Sorella Muse Photography.

Velvet was a key fabric because of its luxurious feel and nod to the Victorian age. We used pops of velvet in the stationery by The Idea Emporium,  tabletop, and even subtly infused it in the dessert offering by having “red velvet” cupcakes by Kara’s Cupcakes!

The Victorian-inspired stationery suite included cupid illustrations and menu cards that were designed to look like handwritten love poems.

The table was adorned with luxe velvet linens, crystal candle holders and delicate blooms arranged in antique footed vases. We chose to mix traditional china and etched glasses with black flatware to add a modern twist to the place settings.

Each bridesmaid would wear a vintage piece of jewelry so the entire wedding party had “something old” of their own. Desserts included a blackberry champagne cocktail, red velvet cupcakes and of course, nothing says Valentine’s Day like chocolate truffles!
