It’s Friday! (As if you need me to tell you, right?).

Today we’ve got a really special feature. First off, images shot of film, which is always a treat. Second, a gorgeous day after bridal shoot that has me weak in the knees, thanks to photographer Danielle Fletcher (who is a double threat with her styling skills as well!). Third, we’ve also got some beautiful insight from Nina, the bride, about how wonderful a day after session can be. Let’s enjoy, shall we?

Advice from the Bride, Nina: Shooting the day after bridal shoot was simply amazing. On your wedding day your running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to talk to family, all your guests, remembering to feed yourself and so on. Although we loved our wedding photos, being able to take time and be relaxed and really enjoy each other’s company during a shoot was truly amazing, and it also helped to have an amazing photographer like Danielle. The pictures that I received from Danielle I will cherish forever as if they were the photos from my actual wedding day. I would recommend to every couple to take the opportunity to do this kind of shoot.

Our last post today is not exactly an engagement session, though it looks a little like one. Photographer Erin Lassahn took Jen and Jeff out for what she calls a “Rock the Dress” session. It’s another chance to don the loveliest (and let’s admit…likely most expensive) dress you’ll ever own. It’s really a tragedy that you only get to wear it once. I’m thinking maybe I ought to host some sort of party with my girlfriends where everyone is required to wear their wedding dress. How hilarious would that be? Either way, I love that Erin encourages her clients to book an extra session so that couples can have a relaxed and comfortable afternoon getting extra portrait shots in their wedding pretties.

As I sign off for our last post before the Christmas holiday, I thought you all would enjoy this very California Christmas shoot put together by the ever fabulous Carissa of JL Designs. Melanie and Jason decided to let Carissa create an extra special day after shoot for them in the spirit of Christmas. I could not resist sharing Sharon and Alex’s day after session with you, shot by our photographer of the day, Stephanie Williams! This session really speaks for itself…vintage bug, darling couple, beachy lighting, and perfectly cute details. My favorite element is the “You Make Me Happy” poster, which just so happens to be available for purchase! Seriously, does it get any more adorable? Ummmm…no. No, it doesn’t.
