Feb20 East Coast Meets Wine Country 2012

Oh dear. One of our dear photog friends, Lori Paladino sent over a wedding that is going to stop you in your tracks! Whenever we meet a groom with a bold sense of style, it’s pretty irresistible…especially if he’s the kind of East Coast fella that knows how to rock the prep. Lauren and Ross’s wedding at Beaulieu Gardens is a total stunner…New England style meets wine country charm.

Luke and Blair’s love story and engagement is so sweet, we just had to share: During the summer of 2008 I was living in Virginia and Luke was in Manhattan. I planned a trip to New York for a weekend to see my best friend from home and my dear friends from college—a real girls weekend that included a trip to the Hamptons. Saturday afternoon found us at Cyril’s– a restaurant on a 2 lane highway that at about 4:00 p.m. becomes THE place to see and catch up with all of your Southern friends who live in New York, or, like me, were just visiting the Hamptons. And there I saw him–tall and handsome. Although we had gone to college an hour away from one another in Virginia, had both attended the Carolina Cup horse races for years in his South Carolina hometown, and had a zillion friends in common, it was not until June 2008 that we actually met one another. It was love at first sight. Luke proposed on a Tuesday evening. Just us. The best surprise of my life and the reason that I now love Tuesdays the most. Later that evening, we met all of our friends at the Soho Grand hotel to celebrate. They all knew and had been waiting for the announcement—it was such a dear surprise and one of the best memories of my life.

Feb08 Why Martha Stewart Alumni Are Always Genius 2012

Leave it to a Martha Stewart alumnus to create an awe inspiring wedding backdrop for her best friend, with simply strands of boldly colored tissue poms. Amy and Rob’s wedding shot by Chi-Ling Wang Photography has already got us scheming for Valentine Day decor. So simple…yet so striking. It’s the Martha way.

Feb06 Virginia Wedding by Amelia Johnson Photography 2012

Lady Grey believes that one of the greatest byproducts of weddings is time spent with loved ones. Which is why this wedding–where a London couple escapes to Virginia to say their vows–is one of our favorite ways to wed: destination style! There’s nothing like a vacation wedding to give you plenty of time to enjoy the events!

Cynthia and Connor chose a location that combined the tradition of the south with some of the city of their hometown London! The bride’s bouquet is a combination of the same elements–vintage brooches from a family friend’s collection, arranged in a modern unexpected way! With a perfect match of city chic and southern charm, we just can’t get enough of Cynthia and Connor’s beautiful day!

Very very special thanks to Amelia Johnson Photography, for all the gorgeous images!
