Jan12 One Last Chance: Dressed Again 2011
Our last post today is not exactly an engagement session, though it looks a little like one. Photographer Erin Lassahn took Jen and Jeff out for what she calls a “Rock the Dress” session. It’s another chance to don the loveliest (and let’s admit…likely most expensive) dress you’ll ever own. It’s really a tragedy that you only get to wear it once. I’m thinking maybe I ought to host some sort of party with my girlfriends where everyone is required to wear their wedding dress. How hilarious would that be? Either way, I love that Erin encourages her clients to book an extra session so that couples can have a relaxed and comfortable afternoon getting extra portrait shots in their wedding pretties.

[...] I was so happy to be featured yesterday on the wonderful Grey Likes Weddings blog! Summer Watkins definitely has an eye for all things beautiful, stylish and oh so pretty. I am just flattered that she thought Jen and Jeff’s gorgeous Rock the Dress session here in DC was feature-worthy! Thanks again Summer, for featuring my photos, and showcasing such a wonderful couple….and to the readers, you can view the whole post here! [...]
Anyone know the dress designer? I love it!
Incredible shoot! The views are beautiful and the bride is dressed to perfection!
I believe the dress is by Watters, style name is “Austin.”
Where did you shoot this? I LOVE the columns in the middle of nowhere.
Jess – i shot this in Washington DC at the National Arboretum. The columns are actually the columns from the original Capitol Building. Its a beautiful spot!
