Oct06 Embroidered Keepsake 2011

I spied this DIY kit for an embroidered tea towel calendar (from Etsy seller Curious Doodles) over on Pinterest (thanks Pinner friends!) and had to share it with you. Not only is this just an adorable idea, but I think if you are engaged and setting your date for 2012, it would be fun to embroider a little circle around your wedding date! Hung in your kitchen, this little guy would serve as a reminder that your wedding is fast approaching (which may or may not be a good thing, depending upon how much you’re procrastinating). I also think (HINT HINT HINT) that this little guy would be a wonderful engagement gift for any of your newly engaged friends. It’s handmade, sweet and (most importantly) adorbs!

So gorgeous. Love this idea. My grandmother taught me to embroider when I was a girl… I need to pick it up again!
