Jan12 Southern Brights 2012

This week, we are all about color! Today is no exception. Elise and Barry’s wedding took place at Three Fields Farm, where they celebrated in relaxed southern style–long farm tables dressed with bright wildflowers, bridesmaids in alternating hues of tangerine and sunshine, and sweet citrus coolers served with striped yellow straws. Photographer Melanie Mauer captured this bright Kentucky wedding so beautifully–so take notes our color loving darlings.

Love the shades of the bridesmaids dresses, and the subtle ways in which they incorporated the bright colors into the rest of the wedding. Great use of color. And, really, I’m a sucker for any and all barn weddings.

what a wonderful wedding! Beautiful couple, breathtaking venue all topped with some fantastic styling (the dress! bridesmaids dresses! flowers! decor! WoW!). I’d like to see more couple shots from the venue grounds on such a perfect weather day, but as a photographer I also every now and then stumble across clients who ‘don’t want many staged photos’.
