Mar02 When all you care about are shoes 2012

This elopement is pretty much perfect: a creamy romantic dress, fab shoes, close friends and family and a tearful groom. The LOVELY photographer, Jessica Burke shares with us a little about this bride and groom, Stephanie and AJ, who chose to prioritize shoes and food for their San Francisco elopement. Um…I’m pretty sure those are some solid priorities that lead to excellent results.

Stephanie contacted me last year when she and AJ were traveling the world sourcing product for her new venture, an online home furnishings store Muhs Home. We connected right away and I knew their wedding was going to be full of timeless style, they surely did not disappoint! Stephanie had asked me to focus on their shoes, as they were very hard for them to find the right pair (um, hello! They made the right choice! To die for.) Her flowers were purchased at a local florist on the morning of the wedding, she got ready at her childhood home in the beautiful St. Francis Wood neighborhood of San Francisco, and the ceremony was held at a fountain within walking distance (that she frequented as a child). The reception was at a contemporary restaurant in Los Gatos, where Stepahnie + AJ worked with the chefs to create a personalized menu. This wedding was all about their special touch!

The bride’s dress is so beautiful. The bodice detail and romantic flowing hemline are stunning. I’m sure she’ll get some additional wear out of it too!

Lovely photos and yes, those shoes are beautiful….although I personally think the dress takes the cake. What a special day, you can see it in their eyes.

That dress is by Tibi. I know because I salivated over it for ages, and then when I was finally ready to pull the trigger—sold out. The bride looks fantastic in it!
