Nov02 Real Wedding: Tricia and Ryan 2010

Tricia and Ryan’s wedding is a testament to the power of wedding blogs! Tricia planned a gorgeous DIY wedding and drew much of her inspiration from ideas she found from other brides, like you–who shared their beautiful weddings (and fabulous ideas along with it!). There are so many thoughtful details from Tricia and Ryan’s wedding–so much so, that photographer Jennifer Eileen shared a bit about the details from the day, which you can read throughout the post.

Mostly, what I know you need to freak out about right this moment are the groomsmen’s hats!!! Are you kidding? I could just eat those fellas up. Right now. I mean–hats! It’s embarrassing how much I love them. Ryan, all I can say is, thanks. Thanks for giving some love to the hat.

I seriously can’t tell you how happy it makes me to feature such beautiful weddings day in and day out. This one is no exception. I literally had a smile on my face the entire time I put together this post. Thanks so much, Jennifer, for sharing your gorgeous work with us!

Drawing inspiration from wedding blogs Tricia was able to pull off an amazingly beautiful, eclectic, and vintage wedding. Guests sat on bails of hay covered in an eclectic mix of sheets and blankets while the bride was escorted down the burlap aisle to the man of her dreams. Traditional vows were exchanged followed by private vows when the couple moved off for a moment together before they were announced husband and wife. The bride spent countless hours perusing second hand stores to find the perfect sets of china to set the tables at her reception. With mismatched plates, homemade napkins, burlap runners down the long tables, and topped with an assortment of vases filled with bright daisies the reception was drop dead gorgeous! A family style meal was served so that guests could break bread together and the night was filled with chatter and laughter. Twinkle lights filled the massive tree where the guests congregated during dessert of cupcakes and milk (fitting since the groom is a dairy farmer and the wedding took place at a dairy). Everything was thought out, from the dresser drawers that were used to point guests to different areas all the way to the small antique milk crate that the flower girl carried down the aisle. Each element, every last detail, wove the wedding day into an unforgettable, gorgeous event.
