Nov09 Real Wedding: Shira and Kumar 2010
Shira and Kumar’s wedding features a muted color palette, tons of great flowers and a hat! Shira was a DIY bride all the way, and I know you over achiever DIYers are going to freak when I tell you that Shira designed all of her invites, menus, place cards and the like. She also managed to have her invites screen printed on wood! I think my favorite part of this wedding though, is the cake by Star Dust Pastry which has NO ICING! Well, no icing on the outside anyway. I love how rustic it looks!!! L.O.V.E.
Very special thanks to Stacey Sodolak of SMS Photography for sending me her gorgeous work! Check below for more vendor info!
The Wedding was held at the Inn at Wild Rose Hall. Coordinating by Jessica with Something to Celebrate. Floral by Melanie Tipton with Last Petal. Cake by Stardust Pastry. Food by Royal Fig Catering.

Shira and Kumar are amazing!!! And the invites, so fabulous!
So thrilled to see this! Shira and Kumar were a dream to work with. She designed every detail, from the icingless cake to the buttons with their names and wedding date inscribed on the back. No detail was overlooked and I was honored to execute Shira’s vision.
Oh my goodness those flowers are stunning…and the cake looks deeelish!
that bouquet is goooorgeous!
Shira & Kumar along with their families were SO much fun. Thanks to Shira’s creativity every detail was a perfect fit for a beautiful Texas Hill Country Garden wedding. I love to see how couples blend their style with my venue and still make it feel like their own space. This was a perfect example of that being pulled off superbly.
I am totally in love with that cake… it’s divine. And well the whole wedding is utterly gorgeous!
Love love the details! Thx for sharing!
That cake is amazing!! Love the venue and the photos are beautiful. Congrats, Stacy, on the feature.
Shira and Kumar are two of the kindest, most creative people and they really, really love each other. It’s lovely to see such fun, cool people exhibit love in an unaffected, genuine way. Three cheers!
