Feb29 DIY Glam Wedding 2012

Today, we’re here to prove that DIY doesn’t have to mean rustic. Today’s wedding is as glam and sequined as it is DIY and simple. Can you even handle how cute these sequined bridesmaid dresses are?? And then there’s the stunning bride (red lips? Double check), bow tied groom, and hot pink peonies–pretty much the perfect Grey approved style.

Very very special thanks to photographer Patrick Moyer for letting us share these images. I feel like a lucky lady today.

Wow – seriously cannot handle this one – it’s SO gorgeous!!! The grooms velvet bow-tie in the perfect shade of yellow? The florals?! Hubbadah!

Any idea where the maids’ sparkly dresses came from? So glam!

You guys are too sweet. Bride here. I apologize for being a slacker and never sending Pat our vendor list even though he asked forever ago. The bowties are custom from Wickham House on Etsy, the gold dresses are from Nastygal (no longer available but they have a very similar one) and the bronze dress is Scala style 47324.

And yes, the flowers in the bridesmaids’ bouquets are dahlias. That was the only flower I REALLY wanted for our bouquets/arrangements but it was iffy being at the end of their season. I nearly shrieked in joy when we showed up to buckets and buckets full at the LA flower mart. I also had something else in mind for my bouquet, but when I found the hot pink peonies out of season I knew I had to have them. Pat and Rachel captured every detail of our rainy day perfectly! And thanks, Summer, for summing (hah) up our aesthetic to a T; unfussy glam sans rustic is exactly what we were after.

    Cheers and love!

This serves as inspiration for future-brides–if there’s a will, there’s a way! It’s so refreshing to see a DIY bride chock-full of glamour. I love, love, love sequins and I’m so glad the bride wasn’t afraid of letting her ‘maids shine.

Thank you for sharing such a gorgeous wedding!
