I want to become a society lady Rockin' a new rock?!

Today’s wedding is a very sweet one that combines talented family members and inspiration from the groom’s heritage! I love personal details that are connect to significant elements from the couple’s backgrounds! Photographer Andi Hatch sent over this simply sweet wedding that is all about family charm and traditions.

The bride, Jamie, is a professor of literature at SF State University and shared a small excerpt with us about her wedding: My wonderfully talented sister, Jessica Stock painted the prints used for invitations with watercolor and then sewed the pages together for the binding to make paperback book invitations. Jessica created four different patterns inspired by the colors and patterns of Indian saris to bring in aspects of my husband’s culture. We continued to use these four patterns for our wedding programs and on our tables at the reception. The programs, which told a short story of our ceremony inside, were crafted as mini books. Like the programs, the table books were covered in one of Jessica’s four original watercolor prints and bound with book tape. Inside the books, guests could find the dinner menu, a short story that I wrote about me and my husband, and space for them to write a short note to us. The 18 table books now appear on our bookshelf at home for us to treasure forever. We also had stacks of books from our bookshelf as part of the décor, yet my favorite book item was the ring-bearer books. Jessica created ring boxes out of two beautifully antiqued books for our ring bearers to carry down the isle. I love that my wedding ring was literally resting inside the pages of Shakespeare’s love sonnets.
